How far is Northern Pet Care from Fairbanks?
We are an approximate 25-minute drive from Fairbanks, just a half mile off the scenic Chena Hot Springs Road.

How far in advance does my pet need to be vaccinated?
If you need to have your pet updated on any of our required vaccination (see our General Info page), please give a minimum of 2-3 weeks before your planned stay.

May I take a kennel tour?
Absolutely. Our visiting hours are 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Please call in advance.

How often do you feed?
It depends on your pet's normal schedule. We normally feed twice a day with a biscuit snack after the last walk of the night. We will gladly accommodate up to three feedings for your pet.

What brands of Dog food/Cat food do you feed?
Dogs are fed Blackwood 2000 (Chicken & Rice) and/or Exceed (Lamb & Rice).
Cats are fed Eagle Brand Adult Cat Food.

Can I bring my own food?
We will be happy to feed your pet his/her own diet at no extra charge.

What if my pet requires medication?
Let us know your pet's medication and schedule, and we'll make sure that your pet gets his/her medication on schedule at no extra charge.

What is my pet's daily routine?
Dogs are taken out three times a day to exercise and go potty if needed. While the dogs are outside, their runs are being cleaned and/or water is being refreshed and meals prepared.
Prior to our office hours, cats can enjoy a roam in the cat room while we clean their condos.
